Someone once said of me "there's no one better up in front of the room on the whiteboard laying out a vision and strategy and gaining buy-in to big ideas." That was a somewhat humbling compliment at the time--but also cemented in my mind that I am passionate about the dynamics of people coming together to accomplish goals and am blessed with an ability to convey ideas, inspire action, and lead the way. The four cornerstones I've chosen as the basis for driving "best practices" in business are strategy, team, execution, and results--in that order. The idea of where you want to go and what you want to be, the people to take you there, the disciplines of execution and getting things done, and finally the attention to results--are in my mind the essence of solid business.
